Comedian of The Year Competition

Hurstville Entertainment Centre is a modern, state-of-the-art venue located in the heart of Hurstville CBD.

HEC is located at 16 MacMahon Street, Hurstville, next to Georges River Council’s Hurstville Service Centre and close to public transport.

The HEC hosts a wide range of events from comedy classes to Wiggles concerts.

In 2019, the HEC is the venue for the finals of the 2019 Comedian of the Year Competition.

The venue is about a 7 minute walk from Hurstville Train Station.

Public transport options are at: http://tp.transportnsw.info/trip/. Just select ’16 Macmahon St, Hurstville’ as your destination (it’s in there, we checked).

There is public parking available in the council car park on MacMahon St and in the surrounding streets (Park Rd, Dora St, Woodville St).

 

The Bat & Ball Hotel is one of Sydney’s favourite pubs.

Located on the corner of Cleveland St and South Dowling St in Redfern / Surry Hills it has been a favourite with sports-goers for years and has hosted comedy over several decades.

Most recently, The Bat & Ball Hotel has hosted regular stand-up comedy shows since 2016. including:

• Secret Comedy Club
• Comedian of the Year Heats

Just a cricket ball’s throw from Moore Park, the Sydney Cricket Ground, and the pile of rubble formerly known as Sydney Football Stadium, this welcoming venue is the ideal place to catch some live stand-up comedy in Sydney.
