How Do You Define The Best Standup Comedian?

Have you ever wondered what qualifies someone as a first-class comedian? Could it be as simple as their ability to entertain you, or, we wonder, is it something more elaborate? Can a stand-up comedian just be gifted with natural talent or is it a set of comprehensive skills?

What is the best fusion of sense of timing, funny jokes and, of course, audience connection? What about the fact that not all senses of humour are the same? Just because one person may consider someone hilarious, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they appeal to everyone.

These are the timeless comedy questions that we are childishly planning to have our Tarot reader answer, none too soon before we publish the details of our 2019 Comedian of the Year competition.
